PANORAMA – Young footballers win trophies and medals at the Panorama Football Club's annual prize-giving ceremony.

The Panorama Football Club hosted its annual prize-giving ceremony on 7 November.

Following their successes, the young footballers were honoured according to their performances.

The U13, U14 and U17 players were presented with trophies and medals.

The club’s public relations officer Jacqui Swart, said they were very proud of their players.

She said there were 200 players and every player received a trophy.

“Medals were for the boys who made the district team. Four for U10 and six for U13,” Swart said.

The main award winners included Chad le Roux (Player of the Year), Musa Marase (Junior Goalkeeper of the Year), Ridwaan Salli (Coach of the Year) and Nicodemus Nabakwe (Little League Coach of the Year).

Soweto Football Association general secretary Peter Thuntsane congratulated the boys for their soccer playing skills and outstanding performances.

“The club is our affiliates,” he said.

He said for a team to qualify as the Soweto Football Association affiliate, it needs to be well established.

“This is what we are looking at, we don’t just accept any team,” he said.
