Labuschagne ends track season on a high
Local drifter rocks at Cambees Midas Championships.
Roodepoort drifter Donald Labuschagne ended the weekend on a high note after competing in the final round of the Cambees Midas SA Champs at the Rock Raceway in Brakpan (7 November).
In the competition, the drift masters have to take to the gauntlet laid out by the judges and try impress them with their style, flair and sideways antics without losing the drift.
With a goal to impress the judges in the final of the drift lunge, Labuschagne successfully finished the season in 14th position in the Midas Drift Championship standings out of 39 competitors.
In the Turbo Toyz standings, Labuschagne managed to hold onto fourth position on the log out of 41 other drifters in the competition.
The Club Championship standings was an even tougher battle as more than 60 drifters participate in the category.
Labuschagne managed to shine throughout the season and finished in fifth position.
