Local speed demon heading championships

Two races for the season left.

Loumari Grobler, 25, the motorbike racing prodigy from Wilro Park, is currently leading in the SA National Drag Racing Championships.

With just two races left she is making history as far as the sport is concerned – should she win her next two races she will be the first woman to have won this class. She has for now retired from circuit racing, saying she wants to concentrate on drag racing.

On Heritage Day she will be seen in action on her Suzuki GSX 1000 at Tarlton but in order to stay in the running as champ she has to win. On 24 October she hopes to walk away with this special title.
