Golf spectacle for ladies

RUIMSIG – The Ruimsig Country Club is currently hosting their debut beginner golf program for women.

If you are a woman and always wanted to try your hand at golf, then now is your time.

The Ruimsig Country Club recently launched their debut beginner golf program for women on 2 September.

Golf Director Charles Jerrad opened the program by introducing the ladies to the theory of golf.

“This is a great initiative for ladies who have the urge to try their hand at golf but have not had the opportunity or encouragement to do so,” said Jerrad.

The golf programme will run the whole of September with two sessions a week.

During the weekday sessions participants will gain an understanding of the rules of golf, golf equipment, scoring and golf terminology to ensure they are game ready to step foot onto the golf course.

“9 and Wine is a beginner golf program for ladies with an emphasis on fun where ladies can win prizes and top achiever awards at the end of the program.”

The weekend sessions will partake in group lessons conducted by Hennie Rootman, where they will learn the basic swing technique.

“This will help prepare the ladies to play the nine holes on the final day of the program,” said Jerrad.
