The Rand Leases Sport Grounds stands were packed as the crowd was treated to a fun-filled day of rugby this weekend.
They were first on the field as they melted the hearts of those who watched.
From the passion to joy their faces expressed as they ran, tackled and scored was a delight to watch.
It was then the turn of the seniors as Roodepoort Rugby Club hosted the Wanderers Rugby Club.
The U/19 team was beaten 14-0 while the U/21 were also beaten 22-5.
The third team followed and they fared no better as they lost 55-3 to the Wanderers.
The second team restored the jubilant spirit of the Poorte supporters and won 19-17.
The first team match was an even closer affair. Poorte’s first team lost by a single point in the 21-20.
