It was a day of mixed results for the Roodepoort Rugby Club teams as they hosted their Wits University counterparts.
The third and U/21 teams were out on the field simultaneously, leaving Poorte fans spoilt for choice.
Poorte’s U21/ team narrowly lost 17 – 31 to Wits while the Poorte third team hammered the visitors 57 – 10.
In the second set of matches, the U/19 and second teams were next on the field.
The U/19 team had a terrible day on the field as they failed to register a single point.
They were beaten 0-103. The second team were held to a 17-17 draw.
They managed to beat Wits Rugby’s first team 31 – 21.
