Inyala have eye on gold

The club will be sending 32 of their finest athletes to compete at the competition.

The Inyala Archery Club is hard at work preparing for this weekend’s Gauteng Inter-Schools tournament.

The National Archery in the Schools Programme South Africa (NASP) event will be held at the St. Vincent School for the deaf in Melrose. The registered competition will have the best archery clubs in the province competing against each other.

Their aim will be to replicate the form they showed at the NASP Open Competition two months ago when they claimed gold medals.

The club is coached by Magda and Willem Wilhelm who are confident their archers are well prepared to have a superb tournament.

“We’ve been having internal competitions to prepare our members for the weekend. We are about 80% ready and our aim is a gold medal. We have never achieved less than a top position in the competitions we have entered,” said Willem.
