They will also be having a meet and greet to get the community involved and give them some lessons on fishing and how to get involved with the fishing club.
The club has a new committee that will be running for the next three years without change.
“We are targeting the community and trying to get them involved and want to raise awareness that we are looking after our waters, nature, community and the benefits they have in joining our club,” said club vice chairman Wayne Goosen.
The club has a new vision and will be giving memberships to the Police services and Fire Departments under strict conditions and rules.
“We also have the neighbourhood watch and CPF involved making Florida Lake a safer place for not only the Anglers but also the public” said Wayne.
The club is also planning a fund raiser for an old age home on Ouklip which will include a potjie and fun.
