Lukewarm Prestige for Florries

Hoërskool Florida hosted their Prestige Inter High Athletics last week at the University of Johannesburg sports stadium.

The schools that took part in the competition include Hoërskole Waterkloof, Menlopark, Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool, Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool from Pretoria, Hoër

Tegniese Skool from Middelburg, Kempton Park, Noordheuwel and Linden.

Florries won 18 medals in total at the event, including two gold, 11 silver and five bronze medals.

The performance was a vast improvement from last year’s haul of 13 medals.

DP van den Berg and Kyle van Huysteen were some of the outstanding pupils from Florries.

DP bagged first place in the boys U/17 high jump with 1,90m while Kyle received first place in the boys U/17 long jump.
