Khosa Sports Club ready for 2015

Khosa Sports Club

The senior men’s hockey team of Khosa sports club are eager to get their season underway after being promoted to the Premier League.

The team will be coached by former England player and coach Graham Hawkins and assistant Mark Ray.
The women’s team, coached by Keith Dauncey and assistant Darren Creswell will be in the reserve league this season after winning their league twice in a row.

Hockey practice will be at Krugersdorp High School Astro on Thursday night from 7pm to 9.15pm. From March practice will be twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday.
Fitness is at Khosa on a Monday and Wednesday at R 20 per session.

The sports club also offers junior rugby and they are currently recruiting youngsters to the team. Practice and registration will take place this coming Friday at 5pm. This will be followed by a braai evening to socialize.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own meat and cutlery as fires and pap will be provided. Boys will enjoy the evening by playing touch rugby.
Khosa Sports Club Chairman Keith Dauncey said the club’s focus is purely the development of young players to enhance their skills and make a valuable contribution to their respective school sides.

The cost for registration is R750 per player for the year, which will include their own rugby jersey and shorts, if need be monthly payments can be arrange for registration payment.

The sports club’s rugby team are also in action, with Rudy Schutte as head coach. For more information contact 082 527 9862. Matches are played on a Saturday afternoons.
