Proteas on fire at Centurion

Proteas teach West Indies a cricket lesson

Hashim Amla and Rilee Rossouw both hit centuries to set up a 131-run win for South Africa in the fifth and final one-day international at SuperSport Park last night.

Amla made 133 and Rossouw hit a blistering 132, for their second centuries of the series, in a South African total of 361 for five.

The innings was reduced to 42 overs because of rain.

West Indies were bowled out for 230 with left-arm pace bowler Wayne Parnell taking four for 42.

The win completed a 4-1 series victory for South Africa in the last match before both teams travel to the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Rossouw took 60 balls to reach his fifty but only needed a further 23 balls to mark his second international century. He hit nine fours and eight sixes, clinching the Man-of-the Match.

Scoring 133 runs off 105 balls with 11 fours and six sixes, Amla took his total for the series to 413 runs and was named Man-of-the Series.
