Trophies abound for local athletes
RADIOKOP – Tebbutt Kickboxing Academy honours their achievers.

Hard work and dedication throughout 2014 paid off for athletes from Tebbutt’s Kickboxing Academy which is based at Panorama Sports Club in Radiokop. Three of the members from the club were recently awarded trophies for their performance throughout the past year.
Chief instructor at the club, Cassie Stadler together with his son Logan and daughter Casey, were among the members of this academy who were honoured. Together, the club members came home bearing more than 10 trophies. “These are just the fruits of hard work. Anyone who is fully dedicated to what they do can easily achieve this,” mentioned Cassie.
He explained that it was a hard year for all the club members. “We trained extra and always went an extra mile,” added Cassie. He highlighted that martial arts was a very disciplined sport and believes that each individual should have basic training in martial arts. “The good thing about it is that you can apply the skills you learn here in your personal life like self-defence skills and fitness training. He also attributed their performance to the great support they receive from their head – Master Alex Tebbutt. “He is dedicated to develop martial arts into the youth and teach them what life is about,” explained Stadler.
Logan Stadler came home with the following trophies:
- Victor ludorum
- Best kumite boys
- Best weapon kata boys
- Best junior karate athlete
- He also came in third position for Ironman
Casey received trophies for the following:
- Best hard-luck performance in all tournaments
- Overall good performer
Cassie received trophies for:
- Best weapon kata
- Best fighter senior kumite
- Best karate performance
- Best kata senior karate athlete
Best Ironman for seniors
Best referee of the year
Best karate athlete supporter
Best tournament host
