Chippa United, who will now play in Port Elizabeth, have confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Ugonna Uzochukwu to add to the likes of Thami Sangweni, Joseph Malongoane and Bheki Nzunga.
Uzochukwu, a 21-year-old Nigerian was signed from Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Premier League.
He was part of Nigeria’s squad that finished third in the 2014 Chan tournament that was hosted by South Africa earlier this year. He started all but one match for the Super Eagles during Chan 2014.
Chippa have not been quiet in the transfer market, having also brought in midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni from Mamelodi Sundowns and several other new faces.
Chippa have signed the following players so far: Uzochukwu, Sangweni, Veli Mothwa, David Zulu, Mpho Mvelase, Eric Chipeta, Manti Moholo, Siyabonga Zulu, Joseph Molongoane, Bheki Nzunga and William Twala.
