‘Milkshake’ looking for goals

George 'Milkshake' Lebese is confident he will be on the score sheet more often this season

George Lebese, known to the supporters as ‘Milkshake’, has returned to training at the start of the 2014/15 season hungry to succeed and find more goals than in the previous campaign.

Lebese featured prominently in Coach Baxter’s Team making 33 appearances and banging in four goals last season.

According to Lebese, though, he feels he has been a shadow of himself and has not fired from all cylinders, but is planning on changing that.

The Mamelodi-born midfielder revealed that he was happy to be back at training after a short break and was looking to make a more significant impact this coming season.

“It’s always good to come back from a break, I have new goals, a clearer mind and more hungry to perform better this season,” said Lebese.

“During the off-season I was with family because during the season I hardly spent time with them as the games come thick and fast.

“I think I found my scoring boots last season and it’s always good dishing out good performances and getting on the score sheet. I’m more confident and I’m looking to continue where I left off at the end of last season.”
