Furman to stay at Doncaster

Bafana player to remain at club despite their recent relegation.

Bafana Bafana international, Dean Furman, will remain at Doncaster Rovers, despite their recent relegation into England’s League One.

The Yorkshire side suffered a devastating last minute relegation on the last day of the Championship season back in May, and it saw the South African midfielder having to drop a league next season.

Reports started to emerge with Furman’s name being linked to various other clubs, but even with suggestions saying that teams in the Championship are interested in him, his agent claims he will live to fight another day with Doncaster.

“Deano is staying with Doncaster Rovers for now, he’s got one year left on his contract and that’s how things stand at the moment,” said his representative.

Furman was first introduced into the national team scene when he was handed his debut in 2012 by Gordon Igesund.

He is currently nursing a minor groin injury which he struggled with towards the end of last season.
