ETS Football Club beats Sporting FC 8 – 0 in league match

Honeydew’s Education Through Soccer Football Club (ETS FC) U11 boys were in full swing when they collided with Sporting Football Club for the Rand Central league recently.

The soccer game had an unusual atmosphere, which motivated both teams to put pressure on each other.

Parents and friends came in numbers to cheer for the teams despite the cold weather.

There was a sense of anticipation, anxiety and also suspense on who would lead the game. The mighty ETS FC managed to beat Sporting Football Club 8 – 0 in the league game.

ETS FC dominated the first half of the game by four goals and came back in full force during the second half of the league game.

Although Sporting FC tried to push back, ETS managed to maintain their winning streak.

The last time the two teams collided in a league game, ETS beat Sporting FC 3 – 0.

ETS coach Jabu Gumede-Baxter said he did not expect the turn out of the game.

“I am really amazed and also shocked at my team, what they did on Sunday was really great, although I could see from the start that the boys were prepared for the game.”

“They played well as a team and no one complained when they were substituted, which makes me proud of them,” he said.

Gumede-Baxter highlighted that each one of his players impressed him.
