Mbesuma still a Bucs player

Zambian denies leaving Pirates for another.

Orlando Pirates man Collins Mbesuma has brushed aside rumours linking him with a move away from Orlando Stadium, claiming he is still a player of the club.

The Zambian only turned out three times for the Bucs in their Absa Premiership campaign last season, sparking speculation that he wasn’t a part of Vladimir Vermezovic’s plans for the coming campaign.

The Zambian, who is currently back home in Kitwe, admits that he was shy of game time but still believes he is a Pirates player.

“I don’t want to discuss my future because I am still at Pirates,” Mbesuma was quoted on Soccer Laduma.

“I am a Pirates player, so I cannot discuss that.

“I still have a lot of football, actually I have plenty to offer in high level football. But for sure I did not play a lot last season, it was bad but I have to start properly next season.”

The 30-year-old has been at the club since 2012 and has previously been on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows, Golden Arrows as well as Kaizer Chiefs.
