Roodepoort Rugby Club set to play Alberton

FLORIDA - Roodepoort Rugby Club will play against Alberton Rugby Club this weekend.

Roodepoort Rugby Club, currently ranked second in open clubs in the country, will take on Alberton Rugby Club on 17 May and matches

will be played on Poorte’s home ground.

According to the club’s coaching and development vice-president Faris Sader, they reached the finals during the 2014 Cell C Community Cup Championship held in George over the Easter weekend, due to an unsuccessful penalty attempt by Hamiltons (Cape Town) in the dying seconds of their semifinal against Roodepoort.

Sader feels confident and said,”They [Alberton]have not beaten us for many years, especially our first team.”

All teams will be playing on 17 May. Games start at 1pm and kick-off for the main game will be at 4pm.
