The ‘Passion Runner’ does it again

... this time in the Free State.

Durban deep resident and Panorama Running Club’s regular achiever in the sport, Themba Phulu, again did not disappoint when he managed another podium finish during the Free State Marathon Champs in Sasolburg recently.

On a course known to be fast and flat through the industrial and residential areas of Sasolburg, the club’s ‘Passion Runner’ ran a solid three minutes and 5,23 seconds to finish second in the Masters category (50 years and older).

According to Andrew Rose of the Panorama Running Club based in Honeydew, “For Themba to achieve or excel is nothing new.

“On numerous occasions over the last three years he has posted a number of strong runs for the club.

“Themba most definitely is a dedicated, passionate runner whose love and spirit for running is so big that he often takes time off from work on the weekends.

“We as Panorama Running Club are proud to be able to assist him as one of their development runners.”

Panorama Running Club is located in Honeydew on the West Rand and serves a wide area. They have members ranging from Fairlands and Weltevreden Park through to Radiokop and the greater Ruimsig Valley as well as in the Constantia Kloof, Helderkruin and Wilro Park valleys.
