What fun we had, one Sunday morning in April, in the Clearwater Mall parking lot. For once it was ‘legal’ to climb into a trolley and be pushed around the parking lot!
And I was accompanied by three important people in my life – my sister and my two daughters.
And, even though we came last, sweating and wheezing, we finished … and there was no shame in it, because it was all for a good cause.
All I can say is, ‘Round Table, don’t stop’!
It was a very small price to pay to spend three hours with my family and supporters – yes, my dad was there too, laughing with us then and listening to the moans and groans afterwards. I laughed till my ribs hurt and cheered the winners on, and say well done to them.
We were not the best dressed, or the fastest or the loudest, but we left there being the closest.
Next year, it would be so nice to see more trolleys like ours, just having fun, dressing up and getting creative while bonding in pain, but doing it for the right reason.
