Someone needs to figure out the online system

Fagmida from Roodepoort writes:

My son went today to make his booking for the renewal of his licence at the Florida Licensing Department. However, he was told to make it online.

I went onto the system to make the booking, but there were no dates for January or February. I received a date for 04/03/2018. I wanted to cancel this and look for another centre.

I contacted the number 0861 400 800, which I suppose is eNatis, to find out how I can cancel this booking, and was advised that I cannot cancel on the system and need to contact the centre, on the number 011 758 6840.

I’ve tried to contact them four times, and there is no answer at all, so I’m not sure if this contact number even exists although it is the one listed on the website. I told my son to ask them if they can cancel and he was advised that he cannot cancel, and needs to stick to that time schedule.

Meanwhile, my daughter is standing in the line to make a payment for her learner’s licence. There is nobody to advise which queue to follow, but because she is there to make a payment she stood in the queue for payments for 30 minutes. On reaching the counter, she is told she first needs to complete some forms, so she leaves the queue and joins a new line to get the forms. In other words, she still needs to follow the full process, as it was 10 years ago.

There is still no control or guidance at these offices. It would be so helpful if someone was there to direct clients into the right queue. The online system is ridiculous if you still have to complete forms and go through the whole process.

I hope that someone will soon figure out that the online process does not work and come up with a better plan.
