Good riddance to incompetence

Rob Thomas from Roodepoort writes:

To the increasingly incompetent people at both City Power and the City of Johannesburg (save for the few who actually deserve their jobs…)

Note the following:

1. Copious and voluminous amounts of previous emails refer, which have been largely ignored by you.

2. Despite the fact that we are up-to-date with our current electricity payments, you sent us no less than two warnings for cut-off last week, in contempt of court.

3. Quentin Green’s assurances that “this account will be sorted out because I am personal friends with Herman Mashaba” were clearly platitudes of perfunctory poppycock. We had the account reconciled in April. No response from CoJ/ CP.

4. No response from Jackson Mpakathi or Gregory McDonald to come and read the meter later this week – they’d rather pitch up unannounced and waste their time.

5. Reading the meter will not solve the nine-year billing problem – the billing department has no clue what they are doing. Obviously more need to resign or be fired or be suspended.

6. I am sick to death of you using threats and/ or illegal disconnections as a tool for extortion and fraud. You will not see one cent from us that we do not owe you – and that will include all costs deducted. I will sooner see you in court.

7. After living without water and power for a year (illegally), I have a good mind to tell you to come and remove your cables – we managed just fine before on solar and gas. God help you if CoJ residents all go off the grid. You will all be without jobs. Good riddance.

Fire them, Herman.
