Managing director of Sparrow Ministries, Kundai Marufu writes:

Sparrow Ministries is going through financial constraints, therefore we appeal to individuals, communities and the corporate world to help us achieve our main goal and objective, which is to look after the destitute, poor and infected and affected HIV/ Aids adults and children.

[Our financial problems are] the result of people breaking into the property, and us having to constantly do repairs. We appreciate the support which you have given us for the past 25 years; your generous donations have helped to make a difference in these people’s lives. We are appealing for cash, goods and food donations because not only was stuff stolen, some of the goods need to be replaced since they are broken.

Below are our banking details and items we need to keep the village afloat:

Name of account: Sparrow Ministries, Bank: FNB Westgate, Branch code: 250841, Account number: 54920050877. The international clearance code is: FIRNZAJJ446.

We also require: perishable and non-perishable foods, exercise books, counter books, pens and pencils, maths sets, rulers, crayons, art books, computers, CPUs and board games.

Household goods [that we need] include: microwaves, pots and pans, cutlery, washing machines, fridges, beds (single and double), curtains, electric jugs, heaters, bedding, television sets, sandwich makers and steam irons.

Maintenance: lawnmowers, spades, rakes, bush cutters, shovels, garden forks, hosepipes, plastic bags, copper and PVC pipes, door handles, doors and door frames as well as window panes.

We also need toiletries such as bath soap, washing powder, Vaseline and body lotion, toothpaste and black shoe polish.

Your contribution or donation will be highly appreciated because of the difference it will make. For more information, contact me by emailing managingdirector@sparrow.org.za or call me on 079 886 1890.
