I just have to beg the abovementioned question with regard to the CBD part of Roodepoort.
If it is not a lack of water and/ or low water pressure, it is a lack of electricity. If it is neither of the previously mentioned two, then it is an absence of refuse removal. Usually, refuse was collected on Fridays, but that then changed to Saturdays.
We used to take out the bins on Fridays, and, as a result of them not being collected, we used to leave them outside our premises, on the street, only to awaken on a Saturday morning to find the streets trashed and the bins gone!
What the devil’s going on here if I may ask? Is the Roodepoort CBD a forgotten, forsaken part of the West Rand, or are these part of the changes that people who voted for the DA were promised? Just asking.
