I was shocked to read in your paper what had happened to a poor dog that got impaled in its own yard. Even worse how long its cries were heard before decent caring people came and helped this poor dog.
I wish to thank all who aided in this incident and the vet who had to euthanise the poor dog to end its pain.
It begs the question what a cruel and horrible place SA has become.
Witpoortjie has become a trash place.
The dog’s owner should be impaled too. Its time the punishment fits the crime. Name and shame cruelty against animals and people. No laws in our new SA, hence the mayhem we live in. I can also say God bless the SPCA for their courage.
Until a nation respects its animals, women and child abuse will not end. Churches can also help by talking about cruelty to animals and worry less about Aids.
