Rather instill high moral values

Peter Wood from Wilro Park writes:

With regard to those offensive billboards – I would be very concerned if my grandchildren were to see one of them.

How would I explain to them that big business, money, and sometimes even our government, says it’s OK to behave immorally, provided that we take precautions against HIV and STDs. How could I tell them not to behave in an immoral way, when these entities make it look glamorous and attractive.

Our country and government will never defeat Aids, SDT’s and unwanted pregnancies by promoting precautionary measures. They should rather promote and instill high moral values, coupled with respect and responsibility.

Cigarette advertising was banned for making an unhealthy habit look attractive. Surely the same rationale could be applied to other products?
