I would like to defend Mrs Botha against the article that has been placed about her. I am a close friend of hers, and have visited her on odd occasions. The allegations made against her are false. At the times I visited her, I was overwhelmed by the way that she gives all her time love and attention to her cats. She never had any sort of social life as she dedicated each minute of each day to her cats.
She made sure that all of them were fed and looked after in the best possible way. Would the SPCA rather wanted her to leave these animals on the street? She had a gentleman help her to clean the areas and provide clean litter boxes to the cats on a daily base.
My heart filled with happiness when I saw what Mrs Botha was doing for these animals. She didn’t just offer up all her time, she offered up her home. I feel that what they have done is inhuman and that she was only doing a good deed. People should consider these facts as well.
My heart is torn into a thousand of pieces, as these little angels were a part of her. Not only did they rip away her lifestyle but they also destroyed her emotionally. As far as my knowledge goes she has had cats for 10 years. Why should they want to destroy her now?
We had a instance where our cat got hit by a car. Mrs Botha had the softest heart and helped us on a cold Monday night. The Tuesday she took our cat to her local vet and had them operate on him. Not only did she save our kitty’s life – she saved us from an enormous hospital bill. For this I will always have the world’s respect for her and thank her with my whole heart. She is such an amazing person and always looking after little animals.
My plea is that they take Mrs Botha’s emotions into consideration. She was only doing the best she could. The only thing I could do was send her words of comfort. I do not understand why any person would be so cruel. As I have told her so many times before, her place is booked in Heaven for all the good she does for those little angels.
