On 22 September 2015 I complete the application form and paid the required fee to convert my electricity to prepaid.

I was told that within 21 days someone would contact me.

I waited patiently until the 9 February this year and then with Suzanne Clarke and Louis Pheiffer’s assistance the prepaid unit was finally delivered on 1 March.

After some issues the prepaid account activated on 29 March.

The job card was handed in by myself on 19 April and I was given a reference number and told that the normal electricity account would be closed.

However, we still being double billed, even though we are buying electricity on prepaid, the City of Johannesburg still sends us a bill for electricity usage.

Each week I call them to ask when this matter will be resolved, I get told it has been escalated – eish what an absolute nightmare!
