The council is breaking by-laws

Karen Schnugh from Roodepoort writes:

I write about the machine/generator noise that disturbs a lot of people’s sleep at night. It sounds as if it is in the vicinity of the Spar in Goldman Street…at any rate, it is definitely south of New Street.

It is difficult to pinpoint where it is unless you walk about at night. It has been going on for over a year now.

Even closing windows (in summer) does not help. Does anyone know the source of this annoying and very loud noise? Only then can we put in an official complaint to the Council, as it is certainly breaking by-laws.

I would be most grateful for anyone’s assistance.
