I am one of those people who believe that we should give credit when it’s due and it most certainly is in this case now.

I have been struggling to get my electricity bill account sorted after a whole year of struggling to and fro from City of Johannesburg.

My electricity bill woes started two months after moving into the property in Discovery – I received an incorrect bill for over fifty thousand rand recently from COJ when in fact there was a prepaid meter installed on the property.

I was told that I must just continue to pay the other charges and City of Johannesburg had sent me about ten different Officials – during the year – who came to the house took pictures of my prepaid meter and these pictures never managed to get to the account for correction.

I finally was lead to Mr Shaun Govender by one of the kind staff Members at COJ to contact the Regional Manager – and after one month I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and say that my statement was corrected – Thanks to the Regional Manager – Mr Govender – and I even received feedback from Mr Govender – a very rare thing now-a- days.

Thank heaven there are still people out there who are happy to do honest work and help others in their time of need.
