Half of our cast has left since the previous shows. The reason being that they were promised money that they never received. We feel as if Nicho Barnard has made promises that he never delivered.

The makeup artists, hair stylists and cast complained and yet we were all ignored as Mr. Barnard would not face any of us. Most of the cast also paid a large sum of money that was meant for costumes. Or that was what was told. Yet the cast provided their own clothes and never saw any of the outfits that was suppose to be bought with the large sum.

The original contract had ended and no one has been paid. The cast members that left have informed me that they have asked Mr. Barnard several times to please pay out and every time there is another excuse. Mr. Barnard first told everyone that payouts would be made the week after the show, then he changed his story and said 14 days after the show. Then it was changed again and said only after the extended shows were complete but yet the original contract had ended and payments are due for the first showrun.

We have been civil but yet he ignores us . That is The reason for this email. We as cast feel that this whole situation should be brought to light and exposed as it is disgraceful how this man can use people and get away with it.

Nico Barnard responded and said: Half of the cast did not leave, two resigned because of other responsibilities (which includes this person who wrote the letter) and one ot kicked off the show. The rest of the cast are all still there.

Yes, they were promised money, but never once have anyone said that they’ll not receive their money. We’ve had delays with the payments due to the fact that our first run was not profitable.

However the contract does not stipulate when they’ll receive the money. It only states they’ll get paid this per day but never on the contract did it oblige

that they will receive the money on a specific date. Since the first run was not not profitable, I had to resolve matters by paying out certain expenses and monies out of my own pocket, and we told the cast verbally that if the money from the venue doesn’t fall through, we will pay them out of our pockets.
