I started attending Princess Clinic since April this year and it was a pleasure when sister Pat was still around, I went to the clinic last Wednesday (9 September 2015) and I have to admit, the service I received was unbelievable.

I arrived at 10am and was only seen to at 12.30pm and the clinic was not full as there were about 10 people present. If there were more people I would have left at 3pm. The facility has turned into a circus. The clinic’s manager was not available as he is always out. The clerk told us he is going for his tea break and someone will take over. The tea break lasted over an hour.

During that period the student nurses had to assist with the registration. My file was nowhere to be found after looking for it for over an hour. I’m really concerned by this as I was not the only patient with this problem.

Clearly this clinic is not properly managed. How can files go missing? I’m so frustrated because I’m a chronic patient and how do they intend to tract down the progress of my health with a missing file?

Should I start over and go through all the tests I had to go through?

The way the student nurses talk to people is really unprofessional. Everybody needs to be treated with respect and dignity regardless if you stay in an informal settlement or in neighboring suburbs. They can’t be threatening people that they will leave them there at the waiting area.

Nothing is in order. Even the seating arrangements you don’t even know who came first people just sit randomly. It seems like the staff are not sure of their job description as they are always moving around.
