I am a Metrobus driver I would like to inform you as well as the public of the stupid and childish behavior of one of the residents of Witpoortjie.
On Thursday, 20 August at about 5:.45pm, I was driving my bus along South Street in Grobler Park, offloading passengers at the designated bus stops. This can be confirmed by my superiors at Metrobus that I am one of the few drivers that does not stop in between bus stops. After dropping off three passengers at a bus stop in South Road, I indicated and proceeded along South Road towards Corlett Drive.A white male driving a red VW Polo suddenly overtook me on a barrier line and in the face of oncoming traffic blowing his hooter frantically. He then applied brakes in front of the bus, driving off and braking all the way until I had to stop at the next bus stop where I had to off load passengers again.
He then sped away, turning right into Corlett Drive and immediately left into Michael Brink Street. I looked where he was going to and saw him turning into a driveway. After completing my route I drove down Michael Brink Street and spotted this idiot’s car in the driveway. I would appreciate it if this letter or part of it will be published because if it was an offence committed by Metrobus, it definitely makes the pages of Roodepoort Record.
