I am very disappointed with the way in which securities of Pick ‘n Pay Princess Crossing treated my daughter on 19 July. They treated her with disdain after she was pick pocketed and lost her brand new cell phone inside the store.

They said they could not see anything from the footage and could not help her in any way. Surely by now they should easily can recognise suspicious elements yet they portrayed a ‘would not care’ attitude I doubt if we’ll ever set our feet at that Pick ‘n Pay let alone encourage our friends and families.

Johan Smit, manager of security at Pick `n Pay Princess Crossing said he has not heard of this incident.

“Whenever someone shoplifts for example, it is written in a book which I look at. Such an incident was not recorded in a book. Also, people need to realise when they lodge complaints, they should be specific with regards to the stature of the person they are complaining about to make it easier for us to track that person down.
