Why is it always a racial thing?I’m a proud parent. My son is in Grade 2. Nobody said we wanted a coloured principal. All we want is a principal that’s not corrupt, whether its black, white, coloured or Indian.

MEC Panyazi Lesufi, together with the media, are turning this whole thing around. Whatever is said, we as parents are making it a racial thing. So what’s going to happen to the teachers that were absent for a few days clearly for no reason?Like the MEC said “because they were intimidated.” Why was it not mentioned that the MEC called us (parents) illiterate? So what now?

Will that and all the other allegations be swept under the carpet? Why is this school being targeted? There are schools that are worse off than this. We are being accused off throwing petrol bombs and guns are being pointed. Mr MEC, why do you just assume and don’t look into this matter than just to close the school? What about the teachers?

But most important what about our children? We’re in August. You decided to place the children in other schools. Did you think what it would do to them? You didn’t because your child is comfortable in a private school, So what happens now if the school is shut down?
