On 25 March this year, my husband bought a pair of heavy duty shoes for work from a shop at Princess Crossing. Soon after that, the top of the shoe disintegrated and one could see the shoe was defective.

On 27 June, we returned the shoes to the shop only to be told by the shop owner the cause of the problem stems from the way my husband walks.

How dare she make an accusation like that? I know my husband walks like a normal person.

The shoes cost R280 and only lasted for three months. I feel that is totally unacceptable as one would expect it to last longer.

The owner of the shop was very rude and unfriendly. She was not even prepared to meet us halfway as I did not ask for a refund.

I would like to give her an opportunity to apologise and explain herself.

Thanking you.
