Don’t be hustled

A message to the public, beware of prominent roadside assistance companies as you might be hustled.

I have been a member of a specific company for 12 years with no call-outs. My wife got stuck on the side of the road and lo and behold, when we gave them a call, they told us “unless you are with the vehicle, we cannot assist you.”

I took the policy to cover my seven vehicles and at no stage was I told that my vehicles were not covered! Why does one join a roadside assistance company? I initially assumed it was for one’s vehicle to have roadside assistance, but no. Do not be fooled, you are gambling with your money and you are paying for absolutely nothing, so when one of your vehicles packs up, you will be the one driving or else all for nothing.
