Can anybody help? An accident occurred on the evening of 31 December last year between 7.45 pm and 8.15 pm on Christiaan de Wet Road past the bridge over Hendrik Potgieter Road.
According to Sonja Malan, assistant to Lyle and Stephen Properties, Stephen Deary was travelling towards Honeydew riding a black Suzuki Boulevard cruiser motorcycle and had stopped at the traffic light waiting to turn off Christiaan de Wet Road onto Hendrik Potgieter Road. He rembers a vehicle stopped next to him waiting for the traffic lights to change.
The green flashing arrow appeared. When he turned right, his vehicle was hit by a silver Kia Picanto which was travelling towards Roodepoort.
One witness stopped and gave his detail to the driver of the Kia but she has unfortunately lost the contact details.
It would really be appreciated if this witness and the driver of the vehicle that has stopped next to the motorcycle, or anyone else who may have seen anything could please come forward.
This would make a life changing difference to this man.
