I read this letter with disgrace!

I would like to reply on the letter placed in last week’s paper, about the puppy falling ill.

I want to warn people not to buy a puppy from a pet shop, you have registered breeders under your nose! We have been breeding German Shepherd dogs for the past 15 years, and never had a complaint about a puppy falling ill. At six weeks all our pups get their first inoculations , and again at nine weeks and again at three months of age together with the rabies inoculation. We also make sure that the puppies do not leave the kennel before nine weeks of age, we even keep them longer because at three months of age they are strong and ready for their new homes.

We also deworm each time they get their innoculations.

Breeding is not for the backyard, it is expensive and means a lot of effort and responsibility. We treat all of our pups with the most expensive dog food on the market so that they can get the best kick-start!.

I want to ask all prospective owners of puppies to please do your homework before you buy a puppy.
