Using sweet almond oil as a skin treatment.

Sweet Almond oil is a favourite ingredient in commercial cosmetics and medicines for the skin. It prevents dryness and irritation of the skin and works well in masks, creams and oils. It is a great lubricant and is beneficial for sensitive skin. Rich in minerals, protein and vitamins; some consider it the most versatile skin care product on the market.

For acne:

Sweet almond oil is created using fatty acids which cleans pores, repairs damaged skin and dissolves substances like sebum, which causes action.

You will need:

1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
½ an avocado

Mix all the ingredients together until a puree is formed and apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes. This can be done daily.

For wrinkles and aging skin:

It will help to tighten the skin and pump up the face to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It refreshes the skin, smoothing away lines and preventing more damage to the skin.

You will need:

2 tablespoons sweet almond oil

First cleanse the face with warm water and then lightly coat all problem areas with the oil and gently massage into the face. Leave on overnight.

For puffy eyes and under eye circles:

Using sweet almond oil will reduce the puffiness of eyes and under eye circles by cleansing the skin and gently and naturally removing the excess skin formed here when we are tired. Dark discolouration will quickly be removed.

You will need:

A few drops sweet almond oil
Two tablespoons raw honey

Mix and gently apply to skin. Do this just before bedtime, then wash with clear water the next morning. Repeat daily.

As an exfoliant:

Almond oil is one of the best base oils for sugar scrubs for the face and body. It revitalises and rejuvenates dry and damaged skin. It helps heal cracked skin and irritation and moisturises the skin making it soft, clear and appealing.

You will need:

½ cup fine sugar
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil

Mix and apply to the skin whilst in a bath or shower. Then massage into the skin until it feels

smooth. Wash off to remove all traces.
