Planning – a poem by Dave Young of Weltevreden Park:
Please remember, don’t forget
That forward planning is your best asset
No matter what you want to do
Being organised is best for you
Whether or not you believe in E-Tolling
There is only one way to keep traffic rolling
Take all unnecessary vehicles off the road
By staying at home and work from your abode
Think of the savings that can be made
By being able to travel our roads unafraid
Traffic jams will become a thing of the past
No time wasted, and no-one downcast
Think of the money spent on office rental
Your office does not need to be central
Modern cellphones will keep you in touch
You can converse with associates ever so much
The internet can keep your work on course
Thus keeping in contact with your work force
There are people and goods that need to use transport
Such as taxis, medics, builders, teachers and all that sort
Their needs may be met without charging taxes
No more telegrams, no more faxes
By working from home you’ll get less stress
You’re life will not be in such a mess
More time to spend with family and friends
More time to keep up with modern trends
Less traffic on our roads, no need for E-Tolls
More time for leisure, golf and bowls
Good planning by Government, Provincial and Local,
Will give you and our country, more time to be social
