According to our belief, Jehovah is God’s own personal name according to studies of original Bible scripts.
The Bible tells us that Jehovah is discerning “every inclination of our thoughts” in 1 Chronicles 16:9.
Imagine that! God can see what is in our minds. Therefore, what is in our minds is important to him because it either can honour or grieve him.
That is why Jesus encourages us to “love Jehovah with our whole mind” as in Matthew 22:37.
This was the theme of our free two-day Bible educational programme hosted by Jehovah’s Witnesses at an upmarket complex in Midrand recently.
1 861 people of all communities thoroughly enjoyed the programme and each other’s company.
It was truly delightful to see 11 new believers symbolising their dedication to God by full water immersion in a baptism ritual.
The public discourse on Sunday highlighted the need to keep close in the mind the ‘day of Jehovah’ that we read of in 2 Peter 3:12.
This is the day in which God will step in and solve all our problems.
