Women of influence unite

Curro brings together remarkable women by hosting an event in honour of Women’s Month.

Curro Wilgeheuwel hosted a Women of Influence brunch on August 17, which brought together a diverse group of women, young and old.

According to organiser Trudy Fredericks, the gathering was to promote women empowerment and celebrate Women’s Month.

“This was a reminder to the strong and beautiful women who support one another and know that it’s okay to be soft and feminine,” Trudy said. The event featured keynote speakers who are passionate about uplifting and inspiring women.

These remarkable individuals shared their personal stories, experiences and insights, followed by a panel discussion where the audience had the opportunity to ask them questions.

Through their talks, the speakers emphasised the importance of self-care, resilience, and being proud of being a woman. They encouraged women to embrace their uniqueness, celebrate their strengths and support one another in their pursuits.

The women were allowed to ask the keynote speakers questions and obtain advice from their experience through a panel discussion.

“The event was a celebration of women and the transformative power of coming together. We had such a lovely time, and the younger girls could be inspired.

“The school’s dedication to nurturing young minds and promoting positive influence extends far beyond the classroom, and such events can assist with making a lasting impact on the women of the community,” Trudy added.
