Knitting and crochet club launched

Crawford learners restore the value and spirit of Ubuntu.

Crawford International Ruimsig learners have launched a new club, dedicated to weaving warmth and compassion into the lives of others.

According to Crawford’s marketing officer Lindsay van Boven, the knitting and crochet club exemplifies the spirit of compassion and community that defines Crawford, adding that the learners are not just learning a craft, but also showing kindness to their community and beyond. “By creating blankets for those in need and supporting the Baby Rhino Rescue Foundation, they are making a tangible difference in the lives of people and wildlife.

A Crawford learner puts effort into making a difference in the community.

The club’s mission is a beautiful testament to the power of small acts of kindness and the impact they can have. I encourage all other learners and others to join this wonderful endeavour, fostering connections and compassion with every stitch,” she added.

The learners believe that the lovingly crafted blankets will find their way into the arms of individuals facing hardship, offering comfort and solace in times of struggle.

The school urges learners who are looking to make a difference and share their talents for a worthy cause, to look no further than joining the knitting and crochet club.
