Mother’s Day was celebrated on May 10 at Skye College Pre-School with a fun-filled day for mothers and their little ones.
With separate hours for toddlers, preschoolers, and Grade R learners, the event provided opportunities for each group to spend quality time with their parents and peers.
Moms brought their children to the astro field, where they engaged in a variety of physical activities under the supervision of the school’s coaches and teachers, with the mothers engaging in the fun.
According to Anita Fourie, the event and digital marketing specialist at Skye College, the reason for the event was to let the learners enjoy a fun and active day while celebrating their mommies.
“The mommies emphasised how they enjoyed spending time with their little ones. This was a great initiative done by the school to also cater to the busy mommies. We had such a lovely time and the children loved being active with their mothers,” Anita said.
Tea and a platter of refreshments and sweet treats were offered following a lively session. The learners, along with their parents and peers, had a great picnic.
