Agape High School share their thoughts on SA’s current state

Matrics of Agape High School share what differences they would make if they were president for a day.

The Roodepoort Northsider spoke to the matrics of Agape High School to share their opinion on if they were president for a day and the difference they would make. This is what they had to say.

Gomolemo Mabina says, “I would implement policies in schools for learners to broaden their learning beyond what we are already taught. I feel like there are a variety of subjects that we can add to the school’s curriculum.”

Leah Stolt added, “I would reduce the number of stray dogs because I feel no dog deserves to not have a home. By building more shelter for the dogs it would decrease the abuse our dogs experience.”

Unathi Kraai said, “South Africa is known for being rich in minerals. If I were president I would implement people from overseas to teach South Africans to be able to use our diamonds and gold instead of relying on other countries. Investing in more factory work will reduce costs for trading.”

Ethan Charles stated, “If I were president for a day I would try to lessen corruption because it has become a norm in our country and we need to be led by leaders who we can trust.”

Keoagile Nkosi says, “My priority would be to focus on the children by providing more opportunities to educate the youth. We need better leaders for the future and it should start with us.”
