Aedan Yates, an exceptional Crawford International learner, wrote the Gr12 IEB Further Studies Physics Exam while in Gr11.

Aedan Yates, a Crawford International Ruimsig Grade 11 learner, has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement by scoring exceptionally well on the IEB Further Studies Physics exam, which is administered to matriculants.

Aedan, who is a junior, performed very well and received a score of 94%, which put him in the top 1% globally for this difficult test. Aedan’s accomplishment is especially remarkable in light of his demanding academic schedule, which consists of 10 topics in all for Grade 12. His outstanding GPA of 95.4% from the 2023 academic year further demonstrates his commitment to perfection.

Looking back on his experience, Aedan said the test covered a lot of difficult material, such as basic particle physics, torque, and circular orbits. He thanked his teachers for making it possible for him to take the exam early, especially the physics department, whose tireless efforts paid off.

“I am very glad to have written the exam as I learned not only new content but also new ways of thinking of and approaching complex topics,” Yates says. He encourages learners to take on the IEB Further Studies Physics exam, highlighting the exam’s ability to lead to a variety of post-secondary technical education options. Aedan’s outstanding accomplishment is an encouragement to educators and students alike, demonstrating the value of commitment, perseverance, and a nurturing learning environment in reaching academic success.
