King’s School Grade Eight fun

The King's School West Rand welcomed their Grade Eights of 2024 in hilarious fashion.

The King’s School West Rand welcomed their 2024 Grade Eight class in a unique and fun way.

According to the school’s admissions and marketing officer, Michelle Dos Ramos, Grade Eight learners dressed up in hilarious chicken costumes and received a raw egg to each look after.

“Learners had to protect their eggs throughout the school day, and even during activities,” says Michelle.

“If a learner dropped his or her egg, they would have to clean it up and hold a funeral for the egg. This led to some hilarious results, with loads of fun being had by all.”

During the first days of their Grade Eight year, learners worked hard to perfect their Grade Eight concert, making lots of friends and lasting memories in the process.

They officially graduated from ‘çhikendom’ and were welcomed as full-fledged King’s Scholians at the school’s Blazer Ceremony on Monday, January 22, where they received their school blazers.
