Every child, together with his or her parents passed under a white arch and rang the bell, signifying that they are now part of the Constantia Primary family. After ringing the bell, children said their goodbyes to their parents and were led to their respective classes by the Gr1 teachers, to start their journey in the ‘big school’.

The schoolyard was filled with happy, excited faces, with most parents seeming more nervous than the children themselves about the first school day.
