Nova Pioneer Ruimsig outreach

Nova Pioneer Ruimsig are reaching out to underprivileged pre-schools.

Nova Pioneer Ruimsig launched its outreach initiative based on its ‘Servant Leadership Culture’ principle.

On May 2, they visited Othandweni Creche in Tshepisong. The learners had a blast with creative activities, dancing, fine motor tasks, and even some fun ball skills.

Carla Hercules, head of Nova Pioneer Ruimsig, stated, “Othandweni’s staff was kind and welcoming, and they enjoyed connecting with our teachers. We’ve been invited back to host the Christmas party for the learners at the end of the year. This is something we are looking forward to and have already begun to plan.”

In March they also worked with Africa Food for Thought by donating marshmallows to underprivileged pre-schools throughout the West Rand.

“We are excited to collaborate with Africa Food for Thought and form connections with other underserved pre-schools,” said Carla.

Nova Pioneer Ruimsig’s fourth and fifth-grade learners have started a committee aimed at community outreaches and are planning various activities for Nelson Mandela Day.

“We must provide a holistic education in which we build character and interpersonal skills in our kids so that they may make a positive difference in society,” concluded Carla.
